Story: Live or Work

The father was a hardworking man who delivered bread as a living to support his wife and three children. He spent all his evenings after work attending classes, hoping to improve himself so that he could one day find a better paying job. Except for Sundays, Father hardly ate a meal together with his family. He worked and studied very hard because he wanted to provide his family with the best money could buy. Whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family. The day came when the examination results were announced. To his joy, Father passed, and with distinctions too! Soon after, he was offered a good job as a senior supervisor, which paid handsomely. Essence of Bhagavad Gita

"Whatever happened, it happened for good. Whatever is happening, it is happening for good. Whatever will happen, it will also happen for good. What of yours did you lose? Why or for what are you crying? What did you bring with you, for you to lose it? What did you create, for it to be wasted or destroyed? Whatever you took, it was taken from here. Whatever you gave, it was given from here. Whatever is yours today, will belong to someone else tomorrow. On another day, it will belong to yet another. Change is the law of the universe." -The essence of Bhagavad Gita (The holybook of Hinduism) Whenever you fail something or when you couldn't accept the things that are happening to you, it will be very comforting to read the above lines. The trick is to stay in the balance even if something good happens to you. When you understand and remember these lines, you will be comfortable in leading a good life without being carried away by the life's happenings.

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel, "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered. Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness let me go with you." "Oh...Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!" Happiness passed by Love
